It's time for our annual Nourishing Our Neighbors match campaign. From October 1-December 31, 2024 any donations received at Mimi's Pantry up to $100,000 will be matched by a collective group of generous donors from the community.
This means your donation no matter the size has double the impact which gives us even more serving power.
Your donation will allow us to keep our guests' carts full of nutritious food and help bridge the gap in their monthly budgets. With M4Kids, our second location, this means you are also providing kids and families with additional snacks, school supplies, hygiene products and educational opportunities! Thank you for generosity and continued support of the Mimi's Pantry mission.
The Need in the Northland
Nearly 1 in 8 families in our own community are suffering from food insecurity, not knowing if they will be able to feed their families their next meal. At Mimi's Pantry, we are working to help our neighbors by providing them with the food they need, and focusing on healthy, fresh options. Our market style pantry is filled with fresh produce, dairy products, meats, and much more.
Our second location, Mimi's Pantry 4 Kids offers a supplemental pantry full of snacks, hygiene products and school supplies, as well as educational and enrichment opportunities. We know food insecurity reaches further than just food. On average, families spend $890.07 on back-to-school items each year, according to the National Retail Foundation. When a budget is already stretched, meeting this need is even more difficult, and there is little room left for educational extras.
Explore our website to see how we are meeting our mission to bridge the gap for individuals and families who are faced with the challenges of having enough nourishing food and educational resources available to them.
